Two Calgary-Based Food Companies are Joining Forces
The two companies are joining forces to share and capitalize on each other strengths in the market. TEJA has a strong food service presence in seafood and value-added seafood and is becoming very strong in appetizers with the Kapow brand food service product.
Canadian Trade House strengths are both in the c-store and breakfast category, as well as pizza, pizza toppings, handheld items and desserts.
The combination of the two companies means they can share resources and customer strengths to be more valuable to their customer base
The two companies will operate separately in distribution of products but will allow the sales teams to combine offerings.
Rick Woods will continue as president of Canadian Trade House and Tom Grande will continue as president of TEJA Foods.
Ultimately, this will be good for customers as both companies are strong at innovation and will bring new products to market at a faster pace. Both TEJA and Canadian Trade House are excited about the new possibilities and opportunities.
