Third Annual Car Wash for a Cure: Canadian Carwash Association Partners with CSRO to Fundraise for Spinal Cord Research
Toronto, Canada – The Canadian Carwash Association (CCA) is proud to announce the launch of the third annual Car Wash for a Cure in partnership with the Canadian Spinal Research Organization (CSRO). This nationwide initiative, scheduled for May 9-10, aims to raise funds to support spinal cord research and enhance community engagement across Canada.
During these two days, carwashes from coast to coast will participate by hosting various activities that foster philanthropy and community spirit. Activities include encouraging customers to donate spare change, donating a portion of their sales, involving community leaders, organizing interactive fundraisers, promoting their efforts on social media, and raising awareness about the CSRO’s vital work in spinal cord research.
“It has long been my vision to bring Canadian car washers and industry suppliers together for a common cause—one that promotes unity within our industry while raising awareness and support for an important issue,” said CCA President Karen Smith. “We’re proud to launch the third annual Canadian Car Wash for a Cure event, dedicated to raising funds for spinal cord injury research. This cause is especially close to our hearts, as most spinal cord injuries result from motor vehicle accidents—making it a natural connection to our industry.”
She said: “We’re asking for your support to help make this initiative a success. Together, we can raise not only much-needed funds for the Canadian Spinal Cord Research Organization (CSCRO) but also shine a spotlight on our industry’s commitment to giving back and supporting the communities we do business with. Participation in the 3rd Annual Car Wash for a Cure is open to all Canadian carwashes and there is no registration fee. Over the past two years, participating washes have collectively raised thousands of dollars in support of CSRO’s research efforts.
